Eligibility

General

The club sports program is open to the following categories:

Clubs may have additional restrictions. For instance, they may compete in leagues that are limited to undergraduates, or to a particular gender. Contact individual clubs for details.

Varsity Athletes

Varsity athletes may not participate on a club team in the same sport.  This pertains to: Rowing, Tennis, Men’s Soccer, Men’s volleyball, Women’s Soccer and Women’s Volleyball.

Facility Access

All participants must have a valid MIT ID card printed by the MIT card office identifying their affiliation, and a current athletics membership. Membership is free for MIT students; other affiliates need to purchase a DAPER membership or day pass to enter the facility.  DAPER members that do not otherwise fall into one of the above categories are NOT eligible for club sports.

Health Insurance

All participants must also have health insurance meeting Massachusetts’ Minimum Creditable Coverage (MCC) standard. Medical coverage is a condition of enrollment at MIT, so all MIT students should already meet this requirement.

MIT Club Sports is committed to providing an environment that is accessible to individuals with disabilities. If you cannot access content or use features on our website due to a disability, please let us know.
