About The Ski Team!

The basic setup is that we all live in a cabin in New Hampshire during January (Independent Activities Period). Each week we spend 4 days training at our home mountain, 2 days traveling to race in the USCSA MacConnell division, and 1 free day hanging out usually back at the cabin or in Boston. A training day consists of being on the hill around 9am, skiing (with a panini lunch break) until 2-3pm, and then heading back to the cabin to cook team dinner & relax by the fireplace. There are usually 10-15 people on the team, + 2 alumni coaches who lead January training and off-season conditioning.

We use the fall semester to make sure everyone is strong & healthy for the season, and offer weightlifting & conditioning practices 3-4 days per week. In the spring, teammates find any excuse to take ski trips, from spring break out West to Tuckerman’s Ravine on a May weekend.

We take skiers with all different levels of racing experience – the only requirement is a love of skiing. The team is a great way to spend IAP, improve your overall skiing abilities, and make ski friends!
