The MIT Club Sports Program offers instructional and competitive teams to the MIT community. About 35 different teams are offered and about 1,100 participants play each year. Practices are generally between 2-4 times per week, and vary by club and your schedule. Club sports are student run organizations; student officers such as presidents, treasurers, equipment managers, publicity chairs play a critical role in running each club.
One of the main goals of the program is to provide students with the opportunity for recreation as an outlet from academic endeavors.
