Winning coach of the year

Dan Chuang, MIT’s sport taekwondo coach, was recently named 2015 National Coach of the Year by the United States Olympic Committee.  This award recognizes the best coaches in the US for their dedication in preparing athletes for performance at every level of the sport.

Dan has been MIT’s coach since 2000 and also teaches physical education classes for the department.  Dan’s comments about coaching here include, “my role in collegiate athletics and long relationship with MIT has been the foundation for my development as a coach, so I just wanted say thanks for continuing to provide the opportunity to work with the extraordinary student athletes here at MIT! I have been coaching 3 days per week, year in and year out since 2000 and it never gets old.”
