Taekwondo nationals

The MIT Sport Taekwondo club competed at Nationals for the National Collegiate Taekwondo Association, and proudly earned 2nd place overall!

We competed at American University in Washington, DC on April 7-8, and our team of 24 competitors took 2nd overall in the country!  The team took home 4 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals. It was the largest tournament in the history of the NCTA, with over 600 competitors. We faced some tough competition out there, even including athletes who have represented the USA on the National Team, but we showed our skill and grit on the mat and we did an amazing job!

Our final places were: 4th place in the Novice (Color Belt) Division, 3rd place in the Championship (Black Belt) Division, and 2nd place in the Combined Division.
